Why Two Fold?

It isn’t just our name. It’s our ethos.

Two Fold Bakehouse is a home bakery in Daylesford that bakes for its farmers, millers, and the local community.

Our bread is about much more than just bread. Our bread is farmers in wheat fields and under fruit trees, it’s millers milling and flour bags filling, it’s bakers crafting loaves that nourish, and it’s the local community that gathers and grows.

We bake naturally leavened, organic loaves, using organic stoneground flours, and work with the seasons; changing our loaves to suit what’s growing around us. We support regenerative agriculture and small family farms, who together, form a part of a movement towards a local grain economy.

Our bread is baked in our wood-fired oven called Nelly. Each week, we offer these breads along with a selection of other baked treats that are inspired by local produce, for sale to our local community, either via our weekly bake available for collection in Daylesford, Kyneton and Yandoit, or at our fortnightly stall at the Daylesford Railway Sunday Market.

We are supporting local farmers and regenerative farming practices that help our land. We are supporting our community with real bread that contains nothing but real, whole ingredients and love. You are supporting us by purchasing directly from our bakehouse. It’s twofold. Well, if it’s probably more like fourfold. But abundance is never a bad thing.
